The Saint Charles Research 35/70 Printer was designed as an entry-level package printer for the customer that prints a maximum of 400 packages per day. We designed the printer to be operated in a "dark-room" environment so that our customers could take advantage of the several "On-Easel" analyzers on the market which are relatively inexpensive as compared to a video analyzer. We also designed the printer to be module. By starting with a sheet easel, an SCR 35/70 Package Printer will cost as little as from $6,000.00 to $8,000.00. A paper processor to handle the output of the printer will range from $6,000.00 and up. That's only about $16.00 a day with a standard lease. And if you do portrait work, you could produce right up until Christmas...perhaps 4 to 6 weeks after your wholesale labs' deadline.

After you have established a lab and have your procedures worked out, you might convert the printer to a long-roll paper easel which will increase you production and lower paper cost. Since the printer will accommodate two lens formats, you might invest in a second set of lenses. Many of our customers use, for example, 6 x 4.5 format for portraits and 35mm for sports. And if you are involved in sports photography, we have an accessory available to print Trader-Cards.

All of our lenses are matched for color and density. We custom build every printer to our customers specifications. Consequently, our delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks as it takes 4 to 6 weeks to procure the lenses. Our lenses are manufactured by International Precision Optics (IPO) in Blaine, MN. Terms are 50% down with order, and the balance due on delivery.
